Spinning was a natural progression in my love of knitting. I began spinning about 3 years ago and cannot stop! I opened up an etsy shop to sell some of my hand spun yarns and overtime that has grown into a new website which includes hand spun yarns, hand dyed yarns, spinning fiber and more recently my own knitwear designs. I am currently living in Michigan, working from home while I also raise my three young children.
Our Featured Maker today is Annie Lupton of Boho Chic Fiber Co! Annie’s soft, natural colorways have completely captured our hearts, and we also love her handspun yarns and modern Bohemian knitwear designs.. Heck, we just love it all! You can follow her fiber adventures on her website and Instagram feed, or swing by Ravelry or Facebook to say howdy!
Also, Annie has kindly offered a special 10% off coupon to our community! Use the code: FibreShare10 in her Online Shop and her Ravelry through October 15, 2016. Woo!
My name is Annie and I am obsessed with making! As a child I was always crafting but hesitant to call myself an artist because I wasn’t good at drawing or painting. I have since embraced the label and encourage others who create to do the same no matter what their craft! Knitting has become my outlet for creative expression and I enjoy every bit of the process from choosing the yarn and pattern, working each stitch, and wearing or giving away my creations.
My shop currently focuses on a limited 10 color palette which is repeatable and occasionally features limited edition color ways. I find comfort and beauty in a simple, fresh, versatile set of colors that speak to my own aesthetic.
My passion for the fiber arts has been so greatly inspired and encouraged by the community of makers that I follow and have met through Instagram and online. I hope that my yarns and designs can have that same positive influence on others!
