Bren of Snerb Yarn - FibreShare Monday Makers

This week we are SO very excited to introduce everyone to Bren of Snerb Yarn for this week’s Monday Maker!!  Read a bit more about Bren and her love of fiber and how her passion has evolved over time below, and be sure to head over to her IG and blog to say hi!

“Hi! My name Bren and I’m the face behind Snerb Yarn and Fiber. I started knitting about 12 years ago because I wanted to make baby blankets for my son. He’s a teenager now! LOL. I loved the look of knitting and the neat and tidy stitches and I loved the fact that you can make literally anything knitted. I’ve never looked back! I began becoming interested in making my own yarn about 4 years ago. I loved the idea of having full control over how my yarn looked. I started out purchasing combed top from a indie dyers and a spindle. Then I moved onto getting a spinning wheel, and I also began dyeing my own combed top. About a year ago I decided to take full control over every aspect of my spinning by processing my fleece raw, straight off the animal. It ignited a passion for learning about the amazing animals these beautiful fleeces come from and sharing these processes with others, from start to finish. I love bold bright colors you can get from acid dyes, the inviting earthy colors you can get from natural dyes, and the calm clean neutrals that natural colored fleece can offer. With fiber, the possibilities really are limited to your imagination. I hope I never stop learning and exploring.”
