Núria Mestres of Chompahandmade

Is it already Monday?! Please welcome Núria from Chompahandmade for this week’s Monday Makers feature!  I’m doing all the wish-list making over her wonderful fabric yarn.  Read a bit more about Nuria below:

My name is Núria Mestres, I’m the person behind ChompaHandmade. I started Crocheting in 2012 after moving to Newcastle and visiting our local handmade market, I realised nobody was crocheting. I asked my Aunty, who was visiting at the time, to teach me how to make a granny square. From there I’ve been teaching myself! It has been a very interesting journey that has now evolved to the importation of TRAP-ART fabric yarn and cotton rope which is made in Barcelona, where I am from.
I love making items that I would love to buy or have for myself. I like straight lines, simple shapes, plain bold colours in my design and create useful items. I also like trying and mixing new materials, as well as experimenting and dyeing my own fabric yarn which makes every piece unique.
